Cabbage Thoran/ Varavu

Ingredients:

2 cups cabbage, shredded or finely chopped
1 small onion, finely chopped
3 green chillies, chopped
1/2 cup grated coconut
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
curry leaves
salt
oil

Preparation:

  1. Add shredded cabbage, grated coconut, green chillies, turmeric powder and salt in a bowl and mix well with your hands.
  2. Heat oil in a pan, splutter mustard seeds. Add curry leaves and chopped onion and saute for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Add the cabbage-coconut mixture and mix well.
  4. Cover and cook on low heat till done, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and serve hot with rice…
