Ingredients:
1 kg tapioca, peeled and cut into pieces
250 gm chicken, cut into pieces
3 onions, chopped
1 tomato, finely chopped
1 tbsp ginger, crushed
1 tsp garlic, crushed
4 green chillies, chopped
1 tbsp coriander powder
1 tbsp chilli powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp fennel powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
1/2 cup grated coconut
few curry leaves
salt
oil
Preparation:
- Cook cleaned tapioca in water, drain and keep it aside.
- Heat oil in a pressure cooker and saute crushed ginger and garlic.
- Add 2 chopped onions, green chillies and tomato and saute well.
- Then add coriander powder, chilli powder, turmeric powder, fennel powder, garam masala and salt and stir well for 1-2 minutes.
- Add cleaned chicken pieces with 2 cups of water and mix well.
- Add tapioca and cook covered for 3 whistles.
- Heat little oil in a pan and fry 1 finely chopped onion till golden brown and keep it aside.
- Stir fry grated coconut and curry leaves in the remaining oil in the pan.
- Open the cooker and thoroughly stir the contents. Add in the fried coconut and curry leaves and mix well.
- Transfer to a serving plate and garnish with the fried onions and serve hot…
