12-15 ripe jackfruit / chakka chula
1/2 cup plain flour / maida
2 tbsp rice flour
2 tbsp sugar
a pinch of salt
oil for frying
- Deseed and slice each jackfruit into two pieces and keep it aside.
- In a bowl, add the plain flour, rice flour, sugar, a pinch of turmeric powder (optional) and salt and mix well adding enough water to make a smooth thick consistency batter.
- Heat oil in a pan. Dip each jackfruit pieces in the batter and deep fry them on medium flame until golden brown.
