Ingredients:
2 cups sprouted green gram / mulappicha cherupayar
1 onion, chopped
4-5 green chillies, slit
2 garlic cloves, crushed
1/2-3/4 cup grated coconut
a pinch of cumin seeds
1 sprig curry leaves
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
salt to taste
1 tbsp oil
Preparation:
- Heat oil in a splutter mustard seeds. Add chopped onion, green chillies, garlic and curry leaves and saute well.
- Add sprouted green gram, grated coconut, cumin seeds, turmeric powder and salt and mix well. Sprinkle 3-4 tbsp of water.
- Cover and cook on low-medium flame for about 10 minutes, stirring in between, until done.
- Then remove the lid and stir well for 1-2 minutes till all the water dries up…Remove from flame and serve with rice…
