Croissant French Toast

Ingredients:

3 croissants
1 large / 2 small eggs
1/4 cup milk
1 tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
2 tbsp butter
1/2 cup whipped cream
fresh strawberries
maple syrup, as required

Preparation:

  1. Cut each croissant in half horizontally.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, sugar and vanilla essence.
  3. Heat a large frying pan and melt 1 tbsp butter over medium flame.
  4. Dip the croissant halves into the egg mixture, coating well.
  5. Place 3 croissant halves on the hot pan and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. Repeat the same with remaining 3 croissant halves using 1 tbsp butter.
  7. Transfer them into a serving plate, topped with strawberries and whipped cream. Drizzle some maple syrup and serve…
