Mushroom Chukka


300 gm mushrooms
1 big onion, finely chopped
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
1 tomato, chopped
1 tsp chilli powder
1 1/2 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp garam masala
1/2 tsp cumin powder
1/4 tsp cumin seeds
2 dry red chillies
salt to taste
2 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped
1 1/2 tbsp oil


  1. Clean and cut each mushroom into 4 pieces and keep it aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds and dry red chillies.
  3. Add chopped onions into this and fry till transparent.
  4. Add ginger-garlic paste and saute well for 2 minutes.
  5. Add chopped tomato and cook until soft and mashed well.
  6. Then add chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala and cumin powder and mix well till the raw smell goes.
  7. Add in the mushrooms and salt, mix well and cook on medium flame till all the water gets absorbed and the mushrooms are cooked and becomes dry.
  8. Switch off the flame and garnish with chopped coriander leaves…
