Ingredients:
1 cup roasted rava/ semolina
1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
1 green chilli, finely chopped
1 tbsp ginger, finely chopped
1/4-1/2 cup carrot, grated
salt to taste
1 tsp urad dal
2 dry red chillies
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 sprig curry leaves
1 1/2 tbsp ghee/ oil
3 1/4 – 3 1/2 cup water
Preparation:
- Heat ghee in a pan and splutter mustard seeds.
- Add urad dal, dry red chillies, curry leaves, chopped green chilli, ginger, onion and carrot and saute well.
- Add water and salt to this and when it starts to boil, reduce the flame and add roasted rava and mix well.
- Cook on low flame, stirring in between, till all the water has evaporated and it becomes soft.
- Remove it from flame and serve hot..
