Dried Prawns / Unakka Chemmeen Uppum Mulakum

Ingredients:

1 cup dried prawns/ unakka chemmeen
1 cup grated coconut
big gooseberry sized tamarind
1-2 green chillies
salt to taste

Preparation:

  1. Heat a pan and add the cleaned dried prawns and roast at low-medium flame till colour changes and turns crispy. Remove from the flame.
  2. In a bowl, add grated coconut, tamarind, green chilli and salt and crush everything together with your hand.
  3. Then add roasted dried prawns to this and mix well with spoon. Serve with kanji or as a side dish with rice…
