Muringayila (Drumstick Leaves) Thalippu

Ingredients:

2 cups drumstick leaves/ muringayila , cleaned
5 shallots, chopped
5 kanthari mulaku (bird’s eye chilli) or 2 green chillies, chopped
salt to taste
2 tbsp coconut oil

Preparation:

  1. Heat coconut oil in a pan and add chopped shallots and green chillies and saute well till it turns golden colour.
  2. Add washed drumstick leaves and saute for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add 2-3 cups of cooked rice water (kanji vellam) and salt and mix well.
