Ingredients:
5 ripe bananas / nendrapazham
1 cup plain flour
3-4 tbsp rice flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1-2 tbsp sugar
a pinch of salt
1 cups oats
oil for frying
Preparation:
- Peel and cut banana into half and then cut each piece lengthwise into four pieces. Keep it aside.
- In a mixing bowl, add the plain flour, rice flour, baking powder, sugar and salt and mix well adding enough water to make a smooth thick batter.
- Heat oil in a pan. Dip each banana pieces in the batter and then roll into the oats and deep fry them in hot oil on both sides till cooked and crisp on outside.
- Drain and transfer to a kitchen tissue…Serve hot with tea…
