Tzatziki Sauce


1 cucumber, peeled and finely grated
2 cups thick Greek yogurt
1 garlic clove, grated or crushed
5-6 mint leaves, finely chopped
1 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp pepper powder
salt to taste


  1. Place the grated cucumber on a muslin cloth and squeeze out all the excess water . Keep it aside.
  2. In a bowl, add the yogurt and whisk until smooth. Add the cucumber and mix using whisk to combine.
  3. Add garlic, chopped mint leaves, lemon juice, pepper powder and salt and stir until everything is well combined.
  4. Cover and keep it in the fridge till ready to serve…Serve chilled with pita bread, grilled chicken….. or as a dip for vegetables like carrots, cucumbers etc…
