Jackfruit / Chakka Bonda

Ingredients:

2 cup jackfruit, chopped ( 2 cup jackfruit pulp )
1 cup plain flour
4 tbsp sugar
1 tsp cardamom powder
a pinch of salt
1/4 tsp baking soda

Preparation:

  1. In a blender, add the jackfruit pieces and grind to a smooth paste/ pulp adding sugar.
  2. In a bowl, add plain flour, jackfruit pulp, cardamom powder, salt and baking soda and mix well to a thick batter using a whisk. Cover and rest for 5 minutes.
  3. Heat oil in pan and drop little batter using scoop/ spoon into hot oil and fry till golden at low -medium flame.
