250 gm cleaned mussels / kallummakaya
2 tsp chilli powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
3 tbsp grated coconut
1/4-1/2 tsp pepper powder
1-2 garlic cloves, crushed
salt to taste
2 sprig curry leaves
oil, as required
- Clean the mussels and marinate it with chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt and keep it aside for 10-15 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pan and add curry leaves and marinated mussels and saute for few minutes till mussels gets cooked and fried.
- Add grated coconut, crushed garlic and pepper powder to this, mix well and saute for 6-7 minutes in low flame till dry.
- Remove from the flame and serve it hot as a side dish….
