Red Spinach / Chuvanna Cheera Thalippu

Ingredients:

2 cups cheera / red spinach leaves
1- 1 1/2 cup cooked rice water / kanji vellam
3-4 shallots, chopped
2 garlic cloves, chopped
2 green chillies, chopped
salt to taste
1 1/2 – 2 tbsp coconut oil

Preparation:

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add chopped shallots, garlic and green chillies and saute well till it turns golden colour.
  2. Add washed spinach leaves and saute for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add cooked rice water (kanji vellam) and salt and mix well.
  4. Allow it to boil for 4-5 minutes. Switch off the flame and serve with rice…
