Mango Bread / Mango Loaf

Ingredients:

2 cups plain flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cardamom powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup mango puree
1/4 cup milk
1/3 cup oil ( or 66 gm / 1/3 cup melted butter)
3/4 cup sugar

Preparation:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degree celcius. Grease a loaf pan with butter or spray with baking spray ( or line with baking paper).
  2. Sift together plain flour, baking powder, baking soda, cardamom powder and salt in a bowl and keep it aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl, add mango puree, milk, oil and sugar and mix till well combined.
  4. Add the flour mixture in batches and fold well.
  5. Transfer the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread evenly with a spatula.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 40-50 minutes or until the toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean.
  7. Cool for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely… Then slice the bread /loaf and serve…
