Bread – Onion Bajji / Pakoda

Ingredients:

4-5 bread slices
1 big onion, thinly sliced
1/2 capsicum, thinly sliced
3 green chillies, finely chopped
1 sprig curry leaves, chopped
1/2 tsp ginger – garlic paste
3 tbsp gram flour / kadalamavu
1 tsp fennel powder
1/4 tsp garam masala
salt to taste
oil for frying

Preparation:

  1. Cut each bread slice into pieces using your hand and keep it aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, add bread pieces , sliced onion, capsicum, green chillies, ginger- garlic paste, curry leaves, gram flour, fennel powder, garam masala and salt and mix well with hand.
  3. Add 3- 4 tbsp of water little by little to this and mix well with hand.
  4. Heat oil in a pan, drop little batter using hand and fry till it turns golden brown in medium flame.
  5. Remove it from the oil and drain them on a paper towel….Serve hot with tea 🙂
