Pazham Aval Vilayichathu

Ingredients:

3 nendra pazham / kerala bananas, cut into cubes
1-2 tbsp sugar (add to your taste)
10-12 cashew nuts
3/4 cup aval / brown rice flakes
1 cup grated coconut
1 tsp cardamom powder
3-4 tbsp ghee

Preparation:

  1. Heat 2 tbsp ghee in a pan and add chopped bananas and mix gently. Add sugar to this and saute till the bananas are cooked and slightly golden in colour. Transfer it to a plate.
  2. In the same pan, add remaining ghee and fry cashew nuts till golden brown. Add aval/ brown rice flakes and fry them till it turns crispy.
  3. Then add grated coconut and mix well.
  4. Add cardamom powder and cooked bananas and mix everything until well combined. Remove from the flame and serve..
