Aamras

Ingredients:

1 big ripe mango
1-2 tsp sugar, or as required
1/2 tsp cardamom powder
a pinch of saffron strands
pistachios, chopped / crushed for garnish

Preparation:

  1. Peel and chop mango into pieces.
  2. In a blender, add chopped mango, sugar, cardamom powder and a pinch of saffron and blend well to make a smooth paste. (If the paste is thick, add little milk and blend again).
  3. Transfer to a bowl and refrigerate for a few hours.
  4. Garnish with saffron threads and crushed pistachios…Serve it as it is or with poori…
