Tomato / Thakkali Moru

Ingredients:

1 tomato, sliced
1 tsp ginger, chopped
4 shallots, chopped
3 green chillies, chopped
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
salt to taste
1 cup yogurt / curd, beaten
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1/4 tsp fenugreek seeds
1 sprig curry leaves
2 dry red chillies
2 tsp coconut oil

Preparation:

  1. Heat oil in a claypot / pan and splutter mustard seeds.
  2. Add fenugreek seeds, dry red chillies, curry leaves, shallots, ginger, green chillies and tomato and saute well.
  3. Add salt and turmeric powder and mix well.
  4. Add yogurt into this and mix well.
  5. Switch off the flame and serve with rice…
