Ingredients:
1/2 kg beef, cut into strips
2 1/2 tsp + 1 1/2 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp + 1/2-1 tsp pepper powder
1 tsp + 1/2 tsp ginger-garlic paste
1 1/2 tsp + 1 1/2-2 tbsp soy sauce
2 1/2 tbsp plain flour
2 tbsp cornflour
salt to taste
1 egg
2 green chillies, slit
2 tsp red chilli sauce
1/4-1/2 cup beef stock
lemon juice of 1/2 lemon
1 tbsp honey
1 tbsp white sesame seeds
1/2 tsp red chilli flakes
2 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped
oil, as required
Preparation:
- In a bowl, add cleaned beef strips, 2 1/2 tsp chilli powder, 1 tsp pepper powder, 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste, 1 1/2-2 tsp soy sauce and salt and marinate well and let it rest for 15 minutes.
- Then transfer to a cooker and cook until the beef is cooked on medium flame. Switch off the flame. (Reserve the stock for making sauce).
- In a bowl, add plain flour, cornflour, 1 1/2 tsp chilli powder and salt and mix well.
- In another bowl, beat an egg and keep it aside.
- Then coat each cooked beef strip first with the flour mixture and then dip in the beaten egg and again coat it with the flour mixture.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry them at medium flame in batches until golden and crispy.
- Heat 1 1/2 tbsp oil in a pan and add slit green chillies and 1/2 tsp ginger-garlic paste and saute well.
- Add 1 1/2-2 tbsp soy sauce and red chilli sauce and saute well for a minute on medium-high flame.
- Add reserved beef stock and stir for a minute.
- Add lemon juice and 1/2-1 tsp pepper powder and mix well. Add honey and salt to taste and mix well.
- Add fried beef to this and mix well for 1-2 minutes.
- Add sesame seeds, red chilli flakes and chopped coriander leaves and mix well. Switch off the flame and serve hot…
