Puttu Ice cream / Ice cream Puttu

Ingredients:

1 cup cornflakes

1/2 cup tutti frutti

1/4 cup cashew nuts, chopped

1/4 cup raisins

m& m / smarties candies

different flavours of ice creams ( I used vanilla, strawberry and mango)

Preparation:

  1. Freeze the puttu maker with the puttu plate (chillu ) and lid for 2 hours.
  2. In a bowl, mix cornflakes, raisins, chopped cashew nuts and tutti frutti and keep it aside.
  3. In the puttu maker, put a thin layer of cornflakes mixture and level it.
  4. Then slowly add a layer of 2 -3 scoops of vanilla ice cream and level by pressing gently using a spoon or spatula.
  5. Again thin layer of cornflakes mixture and then add 2-3 scoops of mango ice cream and level it.
  6. Repeat with another thin layer of cornflakes mixture and add 2-3 scoops of strawberry ice cream and level it after each layers.
  7. Top it with cornflakes mixture and cover it and freeze for 3-4 hours till set.
  8. In a large serving plate/ tray, spread the cornflakes mixture and gently demould puttu ice cream using spatula/ puttu skewer.
  9. Garnish with rose syrup / strawberry syrup / chocolate syrup and then serve..
  • You can use ice creams of different flavours.
  • Can also use pistachios, almonds, cherries, chocolate chips, candies etc...
