Beetroot Prawns / Beetroot Prawn Roast


1/2 kg prawns, cleaned
1 medium beetroot, grated
1 big onion, thinly sliced
1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
5 green chillies, chopped
1 sprig curry leaves
1 big tomato, chopped
1 1/2 tsp kashmiri chilli powder
1/2 tsp pepper powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
1 tbsp tomato sauce
salt to taste
2 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped
2 tbsp coconut oil


  1. Heat oil in a pan and add sliced onion and little salt and saute well till soft.
  2. Add ginger-garlic paste, green chillies and curry leaves and saute well.
  3. Add chopped tomato and saute till soft.
  4. Add kashmiri chilli powder, turmeric powder, pepper powder and garam masala and mix well.
  5. Add grated beetroot and little salt, mix well and cook covered till done.
  6. Add cleaned prawns and mix well. Cook it covered for about 5 minutes.
  7. Add tomato sauce and chopped coriander leaves and mix well.
  8. Switch off the flame and serve hot…
