Ingredients:
200 gm baby corn
1/4 cup plain flour
1/4 cup + 1 tsp cornflour
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
1/2 tsp chilli powder
4 garlic cloves, finely chopped
2 green chillies, slit
1 tsp ginger, finely chopped
2 tbsp spring onion, chopped
1 big onion, cubed
1/2 capsicum, chopped
1/2 tsp chilli powder
2 tbsp tomato sauce
1 tsp red chilli sauce
1/2 tbsp green chilli sauce
1 tsp soy sauce
1/2 tsp pepper powder
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp vinegar
salt to taste
oil, as required
Preparation:
- Wash and cut each baby corn into half lengthwise and cook in boiling water for 3-4 minutes. Drain the water and keep it aside to cool.
- In a bowl, add cooled baby corn, plain flour, corn flour, ginger-garlic paste and salt and mix well without adding water (Sprinkle water if required).
- Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the marinated baby corns till crispy and golden brown.
- In a thick bottomed pan, heat 1 tbsp oil and add chopped garlic and ginger and saute for 30 seconds.
- Add slit green chillies and cubed onion and saute for a minute.
- Add chopped capsicum and saute for 2 minutes.
- Add chilli powder, chilli sauce, tomato sauce and soy sauce and mix well.
- Add pepper powder, salt and sugar and mix well. Add vinegar and mix well.
- Add 1 tsp cornflour mixed in 1/2 cup of water and mix well.
- Add fried baby corn and mix well for 2-3 minutes till sauce is well coated with baby corn.
- Remove from the flame and garnish with chopped spring onions and serve…
