Spicy Chilli Beef

Ingredients:
1/2 kg beef
3/4 tsp + 1/4 tsp pepper powder
3 green chillies, finely chopped
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
1 tbsp cornflour
1 tbsp plain flour
1 tsp ginger, finely chopped
2 tbsp garlic, finely chopped
1 tbsp capsicum, finely chopped
2 tbsp celery, finely chopped
1 tbsp + 1 tbsp soy sauce
1/2 tsp sugar
1/2 of 1 small onion, finely chopped
5-6 green chillies, chopped
2 red chillies, chopped
1 tbsp chilli sauce
2 tbsp tomato sauce
1 tbsp soy sauce
1/4 tsp vinegar
1/2 onion, cut into cubes
1/2 capsicum, cut into cubes
salt to taste
2 tbsp spring onions, chopped
oil, as required
Preparation:
- Wash and cut beef into thin strips.
- In a pressure cooker, add cleaned beef, 3/4 tsp pepper powder, 1/2 tsp salt and 1/4 cup of water , mix well and cook at medium flame for 4 whistles till cooked. Keep it aside.
- In a mixing bowl, add chopped 3 green chillies, ginger-garlic paste, cornflour, plain flour, 1/4 tsp pepper powder and little salt and mix well.
- Add 1 tbsp soy sauce and little cooked beef stock and mix well.
- Add cooked beef into this and mix well. Keep it aside for 20 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry the marinated beef pieces for 4-5 minutes and keep it aside.
- Heat 2 tbsp fried oil in a thick bottomed pan and add finely chopped ginger, garlic, capsicum and celery and saute.
- Add sugar, chopped onion and little salt and saute well.
- Add chopped green chillies and red chillies and saute well.
- Reduce the flame and add chilli sauce and mix well.
- Add tomato sauce, 1 tbsp soy sauce and vinegar and mix well.
- Add 1/2 cup of hot water and mix well. Adjust salt and spice level.
- Add cubed onion and capsicum and saute.
- Add fried beef into this and mix well for 2-3 minutes.
- Then add 2 tsp cornflour mixed with little water and mix well.
- Garnish with chopped spring onions and remove from flame…Serve hot…
