Little Millet Punugulu

Ingredients:
2 cups thick little millet idli batter
1 tbsp rava / semolina
1 tbsp rice flour
1 tsp cumin seeds
2 tbsp onion, finely chopped
1 tsp ginger, finely chopped
2 green chillies, finely chopped
2 tbsp coriander leaves, finely chopped
1 small sprig curry leaves, finely chopped
a pinch of baking soda
salt to taste
oil, for frying
Preparation:
- In a bowl, take the little millet batter and add rava, rice flour, cumin seeds, chopped onion, ginger, green chillies, coriander leaves, curry leaves, baking soda and salt and mix well to a thick batter. Keep it aside for 10 minutes.
- Heat oil in a deep frying pan on medium flame and drop in small balls of batter carefully with your hand or spoon into the hot oil.
- Fry them on both sides at medium flame till golden and crisp.
- Remove from the oil and drain them onto paper towel. Fry them in batches...Serve hot with chutney…
