Ingredients:
1 kg boneless chicken, cut into small pieces
1 cup plain flour
3/4 cup + 1 1/2 tbsp cornflour
3/4 tsp pepper powder
1 egg
1/2 tbsp chilli flakes
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
1 cup orange juice ( from 2 big oranges )
3 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp vinegar
2 tsp sugar
salt to taste
6-7 tbsp oil
Preparation:
- In a bowl, add plain flour, corn flour, pepper powder and salt and mix well.
- Add egg and 1 cup of water and mix well to a batter.
- Add cleaned chicken pieces into this, mix well and keep it covered for 30 minutes.
- Heat 6-7 tbsp oil in a pan and fry the marinated chicken pieces at medium flame and keep it aside.
- Heat 1 tbsp oil ( from chicken fried oil ) in a pan and add chilli flakes and saute.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and saute well.
- Add orange juice into this and mix well.
- Then add soy sauce, vinegar, sugar and 1/4 tsp salt and mix well.
- Add 1 1/2 tbsp corn flour mixed with 1/2 cup water and mix well.
- Then add fried chicken and mix well at medium-high flame till well coated with the sauce.
- Garnish with chopped spring onions and mix well and serve hot with naan, fried rice….
