Heart Shaped Churros

Ingredients:
50 gm butter
1/2 cup lukewam water
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
1 tbsp sugar
a pinch of salt
1/2 cup plain flour
1 large egg
oil, for frying
For Cinnamon-Sugar Coating:
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
Preparation:
- Combine together 1/4 cup sugar and ground cinnamon in a shallow bowl/ plate and keep it aside.
- In a sauce pan, combine butter, lukewarm water, vanilla essence, sugar and salt and bring to boil over medium-high heat, stirring continuously.
- Reduce the flame to low and add plain flour and stir continuously using a rubber spatula until mixture comes together and smooth.
- Once the dough is ready, remove it from the flame. Transfer it to another bowl and allow to cool the dough slightly.
- When the dough is just warm, add egg and stir until fully incorporated and smooth.
- Transfer the dough into a piping bag fitted with a closed star tip and pipe the dough into heart shapes on a baking / parchment paper.
7. Then freeze the shaped dough for about an hour.
8. Heat oil in a deep pan and carefully place the heart churros into the hot oil and fry them in batches until they become golden brown and crispy on all sides.
9. Remove from the oil and transfer into a plate lined with paper towel.
10. Then roll in cinnamon-sugar mixture to coat well. Serve with chocolate sauce / dip…
