Beef Masala / Filling For Snacks (Erachi Pandam)

Ingredients:
1/2 kg boneless beef pieces
1 tsp chilli powder
1/2 tsp pepper powder
3/4 tsp garam masala
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 sprig curry leaves
3-4 green chillies, finely chopped
1/2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
5 big onions, chopped / thinly sliced
1 tsp fennel powder
salt to taste
3 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped
4 tbsp oil
Preparation:
- In a pressure cooker, add washed and drained beef pieces, chilli powder, pepper powder, 1/4 tsp turmeric powder, 1/2 tsp garam masala and salt and mix well and cook without adding water.
- When the pressure releases, open the cooker and and if there is any remaining water inside, cook till all the water dries up. Then crush / shred the cooked beef pieces and keep it aside.
- Heat oil in a pan and add chopped curry leaves, green chillies and ginger-garlic paste and saute well.
- Add chopped onions, 1/4 tsp turmeric powder, fennel powder, 1/4 tsp garam masala and salt and saute well till soft and lightly brown in colour.
- Then add the crushed / shredded beef, mix well and cook for another 4-5 minutes on medium flame. Check for salt and add more salt or spice if needed.
- Add chopped coriander leaves, mix well and switch off the flame.
