Ingredients:
2 cups plain flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
200 gm unsalted butter, melted
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup caster sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 1/4 – 1 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Preparation:
- Preheat the oven to 170 degree celcius. Grease and line a square baking pan with baking paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, add melted butter, brown sugar and caster sugar and stir together until well combined.
- Add the egg and vanilla essence and stir well.
- Then add the plain flour, baking powder and salt and stir until a soft dough is formed.
- Gently stir in 1 cup of chocolate chips.
- Transfer the dough into the prepared pan and press / spread it and sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 17-20 minutes or until it is golden brown around the edges and a skewer inserted at the centre comes out clean..
- Remove from the oven and cool it at room temperature. Cut it into slices and serve…
