Honey Glazed Sesame Chicken Wings


1/2 kg chicken wings
1 tsp + 1 tsp chilli powder
2 tsp ginger-garlic paste
1 tsp pepper powder
1 tsp salt
2 tsp vinegar l lemon juice
1 egg
2 tbsp cornflour
1 tbsp garlic, finely chopped
1 green chilli, finely chopped
2 tsp soy sauce
2 tbsp tomato sauce
1/2 tsp vinegar
1 1/2 tbsp honey
1 tbsp white sesame seeds
oil, as required


  1. In a bowl, add cleaned chicken wings, 1 tsp chilli powder, ginger-garlic paste, pepper powder and salt and mix well.
  2. Add 2 tsp lemon juice / vinegar to this and marinate well and keep it aside for 30 minutes.
  3. Then add egg and cornflour and mix well till each chicken piece is coated with the mixture.
  4. Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the marinated chicken pieces in batches till golden brown on both sides.
  5. Remove from the oil and repeat the same process with the remaining chicken pieces.
  6. Heat 1 1/2-2 tbsp oil ( same oil used for frying chicken ) in a thick bottomed pan and add finely chopped garlic and green chilli and saute well.
  7. Add 1 tsp chilli powder into this and mix well.
  8. Add soy sauce, tomato sauce and 1/2 tsp vinegar and mix well at high flame.
  9. Then add fried chicken and mix well till sauces are coated well with chicken.
  10. Finally add honey and sesame seeds and mix well.
  11. Remove from the flame and transfer to a plate… Sprinkle some sesame seeds on top and serve hot…
