Masala Batura

Ingredients:
2 cups plain flour
1 tsp instant yeast
1 tbsp sugar
salt to taste
1 tbsp oil
3-4 tbsp carrot, finely chopped
2 green chillies, finely chopped
3 tbsp coriander leaves, finely chopped
2 tbsp yogurt
1/2 cup warm milk
1/4 cup warm water, or as required
oil, for frying
Preparation:
- In a mixing bowl, add plain flour, yeast, sugar, salt and 1 tbsp oil and mix well.
- Add chopped carrot, green chillies and coriander leaves and mix well.
- Add yogurt into this and mix well.
- Then add warm milk and mix well using hand. Add 1/4 cup (or as required) warm water little by little into this and knead well to make a soft dough.
- Spread 1 tsp of oil all over the bowl and on dough and keep it covered for 4-5 hours for double quantity.
- Then gently knead the dough and make balls out of the dough.
- Roll it in a floured surface using a rolling pin and cut into four triangle pieces or any desired shape.
- Heat oil in a pan on medium flame and deep fry the batura’s on both sides. Drain on paper towels and serve hot…
