Chicken Potato Samosa

Ingredients:
200 gm boneless chicken
1 medium potato
2 medium onions, chopped
1 green chilli, finely chopped
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
1/4 tsp + 1/4 tsp chilli powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp pepper powder
1/4 tsp garam masala
2 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped
salt to taste
samosa sheets, as required
oil, as required
Preparation:
- Cut the chicken into small pieces and cook it with 1/4 tsp chilli powder, a pinch of turmeric powder and salt adding enough water. Shred the cooked chicken and keep it aside.
- Peel and boil the potato. Then cut it into very small cubes and keep it aside.
- Heat oil in a pan at medium flame and add chopped onions and saute adding little salt till translucent.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and chopped green chilli and saute for a minute until raw smell goes.
- Add 1/4 tsp chilli powder, pepper powder and 1/4 tsp turmeric powder and saute well.
- Add potato pieces and saute until the potatoes are cooked with masala.
- Add salt to taste, mix well and cook covered at low flame until the potatoes are well cooked, stirring in between.
- Add shredded chicken and garam masala and mix well.
- Add chopped coriander leaves, mix well and cook covered at low flame for 3-5 minutes. Switch off the flame and keep it aside to cool.
10. In a bowl, combine 1 tbsp plain flour with little water to make a medium thick paste.
11. For making samosa, take the samosa sheet one by one, add the filling, fold and seal with the help of flour paste.
12. Heat oil in a pan and fry the samosas in batches on medium flame till both sides turn golden brown.
13. Remove them from the oil and drain them on a paper towel. Serve hot with tomato sauce….
