Okra / Vendakka Fry

Ingredients:

8-10 okra / vendakka
2 tsp kashmiri chilli powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/4 tsp pepper powder
1 tsp + 2 tbsp oil
salt to taste

Preparation:

  1. Wash and cut each okra into half.
  2. In a bowl, combine okra with kashmiri chilli powder, turmeric powder, pepper powder, 1 tsp oil, 2 tsp water and salt and keep it aside for 5 minutes.
  3. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a nonstick pan and place marinated okra in the pan and cook over medium flame for a minute.
  4. Then reduce the flame to low and cook for about 7-10 minutes till okra is completely cooked and slightly crisp, flipping in between. Serve with rice…
