Vanilla Blondie

Ingredients:

1 cup plain flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1 large egg, lightly beaten
2 tsp vanilla essence

Preparation:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degree celcius. Grease and line an 8-inch square pan with baking paper and keep it aside.
  2. Sift together plain flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl and keep it aside.
  3. In a large bowl, add melted butter and brown sugar and stir together until smooth.
  4. Add egg and vanilla essence and stir until well combined.
  5. Add the flour mixture into this and stir until just combined.
  6. Transfer the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 18-23 minutes or until a skewer inserted in the centre comes out with moist crumbs and will be slightly browned around the edges.
  8. Remove from the oven and cool it for at least 20 minutes in the pan. Then transfer to a wire rack and let them cool completely. Cut it into squares and serveā€¦
