Ingredients:
1 cup plain flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1 large egg, lightly beaten
2 tsp vanilla essence
Preparation:
- Preheat the oven to 180 degree celcius. Grease and line an 8-inch square pan with baking paper and keep it aside.
- Sift together plain flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl and keep it aside.
- In a large bowl, add melted butter and brown sugar and stir together until smooth.
- Add egg and vanilla essence and stir until well combined.
- Add the flour mixture into this and stir until just combined.
- Transfer the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 18-23 minutes or until a skewer inserted in the centre comes out with moist crumbs and will be slightly browned around the edges.
- Remove from the oven and cool it for at least 20 minutes in the pan. Then transfer to a wire rack and let them cool completely. Cut it into squares and serveā¦
