Ingredients:
3/4 cup masoor dal
2 green chillies, slit
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
salt to taste
4 garlic cloves
6-8 shallots
1 tsp chilli flakes / crushed red chillies
1 sprig curry leaves
1 1/2 tbsp coconut oil
Preparation:
- Wash the masoor dal and cook it adding green chillies, turmeric powder, salt and enough water. Don’t overcook the dal.
- Crush garlic cloves and shallots together and keep it aside.
- Heat oil in a pan and add crushed mixture and curry leaves and saute well.
- Add chilli flakes into this and saute well.
- Now add cooked dal with gravy and mix well and boil well for 4-5 minutes.
