Ingredients:
1/2 kg chicken
1/4 cup yogurt
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tbsp kashmiri chilli powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp pepper powder
1 tsp chat masala
1 tsp garam masala
1 tbsp tomato sauce
1 tbsp lemon juice
salt to taste
2 green chillies, finely chopped
1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
1 sprig curry leaves, chopped
1/2 cup (handful) parsley leaves, finely chopped
a pinch of red food colour
oil, as required
Preparation:
- Cut and clean chicken into pieces.
- In a large bowl, add yogurt, red chilli powder, kashmiri chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, pepper powder, chat masala, garam masala, tomato sauce, lemon juice and salt and mix well.
- Then add ginger-garlic paste, chopped green chillies, curry leaves, parsley leaves and red food colour and mix it well.
- Add cleaned chicken pieces into this and marinate it well and keep it covered for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium-high flame and carefully add the marinated chicken pieces and fry in batches, turning occasionally, until golden brown and cooked thorough about 10-15 minutes.
