Turkish Chicken

Ingredients:

1/2 kg boneless chicken
3 tbsp yogurt
2 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp paprika powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp cumin powder
1/2 tsp + 1/4-1/2 tsp pepper powder
1 tsp garlic powder
2 tbsp tomato sauce
salt to taste
1 tbsp oil
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp plain flour
1 1/2 cup milk
1/2 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp dried parsley leaves
mozzarella cheese
cheddar cheese
2 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped

Preparation:

  1. Cut the chicken into small pieces and marinate it with chilli powder, paprika powder, onion powder, cumin powder, garlic powder, 1/2 tsp pepper powder, tomato sauce, yogurt and salt and keep it covered in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
  2. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan and add marinated chicken and cook on high flame for 1-2 minutes and then cook covered on low flame until chicken is done, stirring in between. Switch off the flame.
  3. Heat 2 tbsp butter in a pan and add plain flour and stir continuously for a minute.
  4. Add milk little by little and stir continuously without any lumps.
  5. Add salt, 1/4-1/2 tsp pepper powder, oregano and dried parsley leaves and mix well and cook until thickens. Switch off the flame.
  6. Pour this prepared white sauce over the cooked chicken.
  7. Then add shredded mozzarella cheese and cheddar cheese on top.
  8. Sprinkle some chopped coriander leaves and cook on low flame until cheese melts. Serve hot…
