Bitter Gourd / Pavakka Moru Curry

Ingredients:
1 pavakka / bitter gourd
1 cup yogurt, beaten
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
2 green chillies, chopped
2 sprig curry leaves
1 tsp mustard seeds
2 dry red chillies
3 shallots, sliced
1/4 tsp kashmiri chilli powder
salt to taste
oil, as required
Preparation:
- Cut bitter gourd into thin round slices.
- Heat 2-3 tbsp coconut oil in a pan and add curry leaves, bitter gourd slices and salt and mix well.
- Add turmeric powder and green chillies and fry till golden.
- Switch off the flame and add beaten yogurt and mix well.
- Heat 1 tbsp coconut oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds.
- Add shallots, dry red chillies and curry leaves and saute well till brown and add 1/4 tsp kashmiri chilli powder and mix well.
- Pour this seasoning to the moru curry and mix well. Serve with rice…
