Ingredients:


1/2 cup bitter gourd / pavakka, thinly sliced

2 shallots, sliced

1 cup grated coconut

2-3 green chillies

few curry leaves

small gooseberry sized tamarind

salt to taste

2 tsp oil


Preparation:


  1. Heat oil in a pan and add sliced bitter gourd and saute until golden.
  2. Add sliced shallots and saute for 2 minutes. Switch off the flame and allow to cool.
  3. Then grind it along with grated coconut, green chillies, curry leaves, tamarind and salt to a smooth mixture adding very little water. Serve with rice / kanji...
