Ingredients:


For the Meatballs:


500 gm chicken mince

1 medium onion, chopped

3-4 garlic cloves

2 green chillies

1/4 -1/3 cup coriander leaves

1 egg

1/2 tsp chilli powder

1 tsp garam masala

salt to taste

oil, for frying


For the Sauce:


1 medium onion, chopped

4 garlic cloves

2 medium tomatoes, chopped

2 tbsp tomato paste

1/2-1 tsp chilli powder

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

1/4 tsp chilli flakes

1/2 tsp cumin powder

1/2 tsp garam masala

salt to taste

1/2 cup fresh cream

2 tbsp butter

1 tbsp kasuri methi, crushed

1 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped

3-4 tbsp oil, or as required


Preparation:


  1. Add chopped onion, garlic, green chillies and coriander leaves into a blender and blend together into a fine mixture.
  2. In a bowl, add chicken mince, blended mixture, egg, chilli powder, garam masala and salt and mix well.
  3. Lightly oil your hands and shape the mixture into small balls.
  4. Heat oil in a pan and fry the prepared meatballs until golden brown and fully cooked and keep it aside.
  5. To prepare the sauce, heat 3-4 tbsp oil in a pan and add chopped onion and garlic and saute until lightly golden.
  6. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until soft and mushy.
  7. Switch off the flame and let the mixture to cool and then grind to a smooth puree adding little water.
  8. Transfer this ground puree back into the pan and add tomato paste, chilli powder, turmeric powder, chilli flakes, cumin powder, garam masala and salt and cook for few minutes.
  9. Add fresh cream and butter and stir well until the sauce becomes smooth.
  10. Then add the cooked meatballs to the sauce and simmer for a few minutes until the sauce thickens.
  11. Add crushed kasuri methi and mix well.
  12. Switch off the flame and add a piece of butter and garnish with chopped coriander leaves. Serve hot..
