Cabbage and Green Peas Rice

Ingredients:
3/4-1 cup basmati rice ( 2 1/2 - 3 cups cooked basmati rice)
1 cup cabbage, chopped
1/2 cup frozen green peas
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1 1/2 tsp garlic, finely chopped
1 green chilli, finely chopped
1 small onion, chopped
1 tsp soy sauce
1/4-1/2 tsp pepper powder
salt to taste
2 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped
1 tbsp oil
Preparation:
- Wash the rice and cook it in a deep pan adding enough water and salt till done. Drain the water and keep it aside.
- Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. When it splutters, add chopped garlic and green chilli and saute well.
- Add chopped onion and saute well.
- Add chopped cabbage, green peas and little salt and saute well and then cook covered for 3 minutes.
- Add soya sauce into this and mix well.
- Then add cooked rice and pepper powder and mix well at medium-high flame for 2 minutes.
- Adjust the salt and add chopped coriander leaves and mix well.
- Remove from the flame and serve with pickles/ raita / yogurt etc..
