Ingredients:


3/4-1 cup basmati rice ( 2 1/2 - 3 cups cooked basmati rice)

1 cup cabbage, chopped

1/2 cup frozen green peas

1/2 tsp cumin seeds

1 1/2 tsp garlic, finely chopped

1 green chilli, finely chopped

1 small onion, chopped

1 tsp soy sauce

1/4-1/2 tsp pepper powder

salt to taste

2 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped

1 tbsp oil


Preparation:


  1. Wash the rice and cook it in a deep pan adding enough water and salt till done. Drain the water and keep it aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. When it splutters, add chopped garlic and green chilli and saute well.
  3. Add chopped onion and saute well.
  4. Add chopped cabbage, green peas and little salt and saute well and then cook covered for 3 minutes.
  5. Add soya sauce into this and mix well.
  6. Then add cooked rice and pepper powder and mix well at medium-high flame for 2 minutes.
  7. Adjust the salt and add chopped coriander leaves and mix well.
  8. Remove from the flame and serve with pickles/ raita / yogurt etc..
