Ingredients:

8 ladle of thick dosa batter

1 carrot, chopped or grated

1 tsp chilli powder (or 2 roasted dried red chillies)

1/4 inch ginger, chopped

salt to taste

oil

Preparation:

  1. In a blender, add the carrot, chilli powder and ginger and grind together as a fine puree adding little water. Keep it aside.
  2. Take dosa batter in a bowl and add the carrot puree to this and mix well. Add salt if required.
  3. Heat a dosa tawa/ pan and lightly grease with oil.
  4. Pour a ladle full of batter in the centre and using the back of the ladle spread as concentric circles.
  5. Drizzle 1/2 tsp of oil over the dosa and cook till crispy. Turn the other side and cook if required.
  6. Serve hot with chutney or sambar...
