Ingredients:
1 small cauliflower ( 2 cups cauliflower florets )
1 onion, finely chopped
2 green chillies, slit
1 tomato, chopped
3-4 mint leaves
1 tsp ginger paste
1 tsp garlic paste
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp chilli powder
2 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 cup grated coconut
1 tsp fennel seeds
salt to taste
1/2-1 tsp kasuri methi
1/2 tsp garam masala
1 tbsp oil
Preparation:
- Cut the cauliflower into small florets.
- Soak the cleaned cauliflower florets into the hot water adding 1/4 tsp turmeric powder for 30 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, ginger paste and garlic paste and saute well.
- Add chopped onion and slit green chillies and saute well adding salt.
- Add chopped tomato and mint leaves and saute well till soft.
- Add 1/4 tsp turmeric powder, chilli powder and coriander powder and saute well.
- Add drained cauliflower and mix well. Add enough water and cook covered till done.
- Grind the grated coconut with fennel seeds adding little water.
- Add the ground coconut paste and mix well. Adjust the water and salt and boil for 2-3 minutes.
- Add kasuri methi and garam masala and mix well.
- Switch off the flame and serve hot with chapati, puri etc...
