Ingredients:


1 small cauliflower ( 2 cups cauliflower florets )

1 onion, finely chopped

2 green chillies, slit

1 tomato, chopped

3-4 mint leaves

1 tsp ginger paste

1 tsp garlic paste

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

1 tsp chilli powder

2 tsp coriander powder

1 tsp cumin seeds

1 cup grated coconut

1 tsp fennel seeds

salt to taste

1/2-1 tsp kasuri methi

1/2 tsp garam masala

1 tbsp oil


Preparation:


  1. Cut the cauliflower into small florets.
  2. Soak the cleaned cauliflower florets into the hot water adding 1/4 tsp turmeric powder for 30 minutes.
  3. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, ginger paste and garlic paste and saute well.
  4. Add chopped onion and slit green chillies and saute well adding salt.
  5. Add chopped tomato and mint leaves and saute well till soft.
  6. Add 1/4 tsp turmeric powder, chilli powder and coriander powder and saute well.
  7. Add drained cauliflower and mix well. Add enough water and cook covered till done.
  8. Grind the grated coconut with fennel seeds adding little water.
  9. Add the ground coconut paste and mix well. Adjust the water and salt and boil for 2-3 minutes.
  10. Add kasuri methi and garam masala and mix well.
  11. Switch off the flame and serve hot with chapati, puri etc...
