Ingredients:


250 gm chicken pieces

1/2 tsp pepper powder

1 tsp chilli powder

1/4 tsp turmeric powder

1 tbsp garlic, finely chopped

1 green chilli, finely chopped

2 medium onions, chopped

1 capsicum, chopped

2 tbsp tomato sauce

a pinch of chilli flakes

3/4 cup grated cheese, or as required

salt to taste

1tbsp coriander leaves, chopped

1 tbsp butter

puff pastry sheets ( as required ), cut into 8 squares

1 beaten egg for brushing

Preparation:


  1. Cook the chicken pieces with pepper powder, chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt adding enough water. Then mince the cooked chicken pieces and keep it aside.
  2. Heat butter in a pan and add chopped garlic and green chilli and saute for few seconds.
  3. Add chopped onion and capsicum and saute until soft.
  4. Add 1 1/2 cup cooked minced chicken and mix well.
  5. Add tomato sauce and mix everything well.
  6. Add a pinch of chilli flakes and mix well. Adjust the salt.
  7. Then sprinkle cheese on top and cover with a lid and let the cheese melt for about 2 minutes.
  8. Add chopped coriander leaves on top and switch off the flame.
  9. Preheat the oven to 180 degree celcius. Grease a baking tray with oil or line it with aluminium foil/ parchment paper.
  10. Take the thawed puff pastry and cut into squares.
  11. Take the puff pastry square and place little filling on one side of the pastry and add a little extra cheese on top of the filling.
  12. Fold to form a triangle and press to seal on the sides with a fork.
  13. Place all the folded puffs on a greased baking tray and brush with beaten egg.
  14. Bake it in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the puffs turn golden brown on top. Serve with tea..
