Ingredients:
200 gm chicken with bones, cut into pieces
1 1/2 litre water
1 tsp + 1/2 tsp pepper powder ( adjust to your taste )
3/4 cup instant oats
1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
1/4 cup carrot, finely chopped
1/4 cup beans, finely chopped
1/4 cup sweet corn
1 tsp garlic, finely chopped
3/4 tsp ginger, finely chopped
salt to taste
2 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped
1 tbsp oil
Preparation:
- In a pan, add chicken pieces, 1 tsp pepper powder, salt and 1 1/2 litre water and cook covered for about 20 minutes.
- Take out the cooked chicken from the stock, shred it and keep it aside.
- Strain the chicken stock and keep it aside.
- Heat oil in a pan and add finely chopped garlic, ginger and onion and saute well.
- Add chopped carrot, beans and sweet corn and saute for 2-3 minutes.
- Add oats into this and mix well.
- Add salt, 1/2 tsp pepper powder, shredded chicken and about 1 litre of chicken stock and mix well and allow it to boil till it thickens.
- Add chopped coriander leaves and mix well and switch off the flame.
- Adjust the salt and pepper and serve hot garnished with coriander leaves...
