Ingredients:

1 kg chicken, cut into small pieces

3 medium onions, sliced

1 tbsp ginger paste

1 tbsp garlic paste

2 1/2 -3 tsp kashmiri chilli powder

1 tsp coriander powder

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

1 tsp pepper powder

1 tsp garam masala

lemon juice of 1/2 lemon

1 tsp cumin powder

2 sprig curry leaves

salt to taste

oil as required

2 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped

Preparation:

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add sliced onions and fry till golden brown colour. Transfer this to a plate.
  2. In a large bowl, add cleaned chicken pieces, ginger paste, garlic paste, chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, pepper powder, garam masala, lemon juice, salt and fried onions and mix well.
  3. Then add cumin powder and 2 tbsp oil into this and mix well. Keep it aside for 30 minutes.
  4. Heat a pan and add the marinated chicken and curry leaves and mix well.
  5. Cook it covered at low flame, stirring occasionally till dry and well cooked. Switch off the flame.
  6. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot...
