Ingredients:
400 gm boneless chicken, cut into small pieces
1 egg
1/2 tsp + 1 tsp pepper powder
1 tsp chilli flakes
1 tsp crushed garlic
salt to taste
1 tsp + 1 tbsp soy sauce
2 tsp + 1/2 tbsp vinegar
2 tbsp + 1 tbsp corn flour
2 tbsp plain flour
1 tsp garlic, finely chopped
1/2 cup tomato sauce
2 tbsp chilli sauce
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp chilli powder
1/2 cup capsicum, chopped
2 tbsp spring onion, chopped
oil, as required
Preparation:
- In a bowl, add egg, 1/2 tsp pepper powder, chilli flakes, crushed garlic and salt and mix well.
- Add 1 tsp soy sauce and 2 tsp vinegar into this and mix well.
- Then add cleaned chicken pieces, 2 tbsp corn flour and plain flour and mix well. Keep it aside for 45 minutes.
- Heat little oil in a pan and fry the marinated chicken pieces till brown and cooked and keep it aside.
- Heat 2-3 tbsp oil (same oil used for frying chicken) in a thick bottomed pan and add chopped garlic and mix well.
- Add 1 tbsp soy sauce and tomato sauce and mix well.
- Add chilli sauce, 1/2 tbsp vinegar, sugar, chilli powder, 3/4-1 tsp pepper powder and chopped capsicum and mix well.
- Add 1 cup of water into this and mix well and adjust the salt.
- When it boils, add 1 tbsp corn flour mixed with 1/2 cup of water and mix well at low flame.
- Then add fried chicken and mix well till coated with the sauce.
- Garnish with chopped spring onions and switch off the flame .. Serve hot...
- Adjust the spice level to your taste...
