Ingredients:


400 gm boneless chicken, cut into small pieces

1 egg

1/2 tsp + 1 tsp pepper powder

1 tsp chilli flakes

1 tsp crushed garlic

salt to taste

1 tsp + 1 tbsp soy sauce

2 tsp + 1/2 tbsp vinegar

2 tbsp + 1 tbsp corn flour

2 tbsp plain flour

1 tsp garlic, finely chopped

1/2 cup tomato sauce

2 tbsp chilli sauce

1 tbsp sugar

1 tsp chilli powder

1/2 cup capsicum, chopped

2 tbsp spring onion, chopped

oil, as required


Preparation:


  1. In a bowl, add egg, 1/2 tsp pepper powder, chilli flakes, crushed garlic and salt and mix well.
  2. Add 1 tsp soy sauce and 2 tsp vinegar into this and mix well.
  3. Then add cleaned chicken pieces, 2 tbsp corn flour and plain flour and mix well. Keep it aside for 45 minutes.
  4. Heat little oil in a pan and fry the marinated chicken pieces till brown and cooked and keep it aside.
  5. Heat 2-3 tbsp oil (same oil used for frying chicken) in a thick bottomed pan and add chopped garlic and mix well.
  6. Add 1 tbsp soy sauce and tomato sauce and mix well.
  7. Add chilli sauce, 1/2 tbsp vinegar, sugar, chilli powder, 3/4-1 tsp pepper powder and chopped capsicum and mix well.
  8. Add 1 cup of water into this and mix well and adjust the salt.
  9. When it boils, add 1 tbsp corn flour mixed with 1/2 cup of water and mix well at low flame.
  10. Then add fried chicken and mix well till coated with the sauce.
  11. Garnish with chopped spring onions and switch off the flame .. Serve hot...
