Chicken Masala Gravy

Ingredients:


1/2 kg chicken, cut into pieces

2 onions, sliced

1 big tomato, chopped

1 tsp ginger-garlic paste

1 tbsp chilli flakes

1 tbsp chilli powder

2 tbsp coriander powder

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

1 tsp pepper powder

1 tsp cumin powder

salt to taste

1 tbsp spring onion, chopped

1 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped

2-3 tbsp oil, or as required


Preparation:


  1. Heat oil in a pan and add 1 sliced onion and chopped tomato and saute well till soft.
  2. Add ginger-garlic paste and chilli flakes and saute well till the raw smell goes.
  3. Switch off the flame, allow to cool and then grind to a paste and keep it aside.
  4. Heat little oil in the same pan and add 1 sliced onion and cleaned chicken pieces and mix well for 3-4 minutes.
  5. Add chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, pepper powder, cumin powder and salt and mix well at low flame.
  6. Then add the ground paste and mix well and cook covered at medium- low flame, stirring in between, till the chicken is cooked well.
