Ingredients:
250 gm boneless chicken, cut into small pieces
1 1/2 cup rava / semolina
2 small carrots, finely chopped
8 beans, chopped
1 big onion, chopped
4-5 green chillies, chopped
2 sprig curry leaves
2 tsp ginger-garlic paste
1 tsp + 1 tsp turmeric powder
2 tsp chilli powder
salt to taste
1 1/2 cup hot water
10-12 cashew nuts
12-15 raisins
2 tbsp grated coconut
1 tsp mustard seeds
2 tsp urad dal
2 tbsp + 2 tbsp coconut oil
Preparation:
- In a pan, roast the rava in medium flame for 2-3 minutes and keep it aside.
- In a bowl, add the cleaned chicken pieces and marinate it with chilli powder, 1 tsp turmeric powder, ginger-garlic paste and salt and keep it aside for 10 minutes.
- Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan and add the marinated chicken pieces and cook covered in low-medium flame for 8-10 minutes till fried, stirring in between and keep it aside.
- Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan and fry the cashew nuts and raisins and keep it aside.
- To the same oil, add mustard seeds and urad dal and let it splutter.
- Add curry leaves, chopped onion, green chillies, carrot, beans and salt and saute well.
- Add 1 tsp turmeric powder and saute in low-medium flame.
- Then add the roasted rava into it and mix well.
- Reduce the flame to low and add hot water and immediately cover it with a lid and cook in low flame.
- After 5 minutes, gently stir and add grated coconut, roasted cashew nuts and raisins, fried chicken and combine well in low flame.
- Serve hot as breakfast or evening snack...
