Chocolate Chip Anzac Slices

Ingredients:
1 cup rolled oats
1 cup plain flour
2/3 cup brown sugar
2/3 cup desiccated coconut
125 gm butter, chopped
2 tbsp golden syrup
2 tbsp water
1/2 tsp baking soda
150 gm chocolate chips
Preparation:
- Preheat the oven to 150 degree celcius. Grease and line a rectangular baking tray with baking paper and keep it aside.
- Place the butter, golden syrup and water in a microwave safe large bowl and microwave in 30 second bursts, stirring each time, until melted.
- Then stir in the baking soda.
- Add the rolled oats, plain flour, brown sugar and desiccated coconut into this and stir to combine.
- Then fold in the chocolate chips.
- Transfer the mixture into the baking tray and press down firmly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes or until lightly golden brown.
- Remove the tray from oven and cool for 10 minutes and then transfer to a wire rack and let them cool completely. Then carefully cut into slices and serve...
